However, in a small play on words (or characters, should I say) the kanji in our shop name are not the usual symbols, but instead those for “time”, “play”, and “person.” Although phonetically read the same way, the meaning behind these characters describe what we, at Jiyujin, strive to do everyday.
Now, here’s where we get deep. To us, these characters symbolize the beauty in the finite time we have in our lives. The beauty comes when we realize that we must spend as much time as we can, playing or enjoying our lives while meeting and learning about the people with whom we share this world. Due to the exposure to increasing underwater pressure, it is important to learn the correct technique to experience reaching colourful new depths safely. Ishigaki island consists of a rugged northern coastline, that has been made famous by it`s fabled blue cave and unique surroundings. The cave was formed by years of coastal erosion and is now lit up by a mystifying blue light, which creates an awe inspiring atmosphere inside the cavern. Along with our experienced English speaking guide you will discover the unique species that inhabit this secret area.
Swim with Ishigaki`s famous manta rays! Our experienced English speaking guide will take you on a scenic afternoon boat ride to "Manta City", to observe the peaceful animals in their natural habitat.
The NAUI open water and advanced open water diving certifications are recognised worldwide, therefore your diving experience will be truly limitless. Our English speaking instructor has over 7 years of experience teaching courses in the local area.The open water diver course is for beginners, and no prior experience is needed. You will learn the basics of scuba diving, such as the safe use of equipment, diving skills and dive planning and risk control.We also offer the advanced open water diving course, which builds upon your knowledge and skills through different adventure dives.
